Join us for our premier juried art exhibition as we celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with a vibrant showcase of creativity and artistic expression. This special event honors the spirit of remembrance while bringing together our community through the transformative power of the visual and performing arts.

The Fine Art Show & Sale features professional, amateur, and student artists across four categories: Oil/Acrylic, Watercolor, Drawings, and Mixed Media.

Festival Dates: Friday and Saturday, May 22-23, 2026
Venue: Brigham Academy Center

Entry Fees:

  • Professional Artists: $25
  • Amateur Artists: $15
  • Student Artists: $10

Historic Box Elder Plein Air

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend by capturing Box Elder County's stunning landscape during spring's most picturesque moment. This plein air painting event invites artists to honor our region's natural beauty through outdoor painting.

Artists will find inspiration in varied terrain – from orchard blossoms and farmlands to historic structures and mountain vistas that have witnessed generations of history.

Open to professional and amateur artists, this week-long contest offers the perfect opportunity to paint in changing light and fresh spring conditions.


Canvas Stamping & Registration

Monday, May 16th: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

Following week: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm daily

Location: Consignology, 57 S Main


Entry Fees:

Stamp fee: $25 (allows  for multiple surfaces)

Final submission limited to five pieces

Additional pieces: $10 each (paid on submission)

Chalk Art Contest

A festival favorite, the Chalk Art Contest transforms Artisan Alley East (next to the new  Chamber Building) into a vibrant street canvas showcasing the incredible detail and skill of our chalk artists. We welcome artists of all skill levels and experience, working as a team or individually.


Chalk Artists will receive  festival swag, a chance for prize money, and regional recognition. Located right in the center of the festival, out of the wind and partially shaded, this prime spot offers an ideal canvas for your artistic expression.

Entry Fee: $10 per team

Birds of Bear River Photography Exhibit

The Birds of Bear River Photography Exhibit invites both amateur and professional photographers to showcase their finest wildlife and landscape imagery during Memorial Day Weekend. This exhibit celebrates Brigham's longstanding connection to the Bird Refuge and the breathtaking beauty of birds, wildlife, and landscapes.

The Photography Show will be co-located with the Fine Art Show at the Brigham Academy Center. Cash prizes are awarded in each category. Participating artists will also have their work showcased on the tourism website www.visitbrighamcity.org for the coming year, providing extended recognition for outstanding photography.


Submission Guidelines

Eligibility:

  • Open to amateur and professional photographers
  • Entries must be completed within the last two years



Print Specifications:

  • Recommended print sizes: 8x10 to 16x20

DeNovo, a captivating local rock band, has earned a well-deserved reputation for their electrifying live performances and infectious energy. The band embodies a brash and carefree attitude while remaining committed to being family and corporate-friendly, creating an enjoyable atmosphere that appeals to music fans of all ages. Comprised of members from various professions, including attorneys, business leaders, restaurateurs, and technology consultants, this versatile band brings a diverse range of expertise to the performing arts.

The name DeNovo derives from the Latin term "De Novo," emblematic of the concept of a “second chance” or “starting anew.” This band philosophy is articulated in vibrant costuming and dynamic stage presence as they strive to deliver fresh interpretations of the greatest rock music in history. Whether they are rockin’ private parties or rollin’ corporate events, DeNovo promises entertaining and unforgettable local performances.
